I like that they weren't locked in their rooms with their heads hanging down. I was also very impressed with all of the staff that I met. I just absolutely loved it and we felt like we don't have to look further. The rooms were gorgeous, they were not at all like the hospital rooms or anything like that.

They would allow my husband to be free and use his wheelchair and pedal around. I was very impressed with the wide aisles, the feeling of lightness in there, and the beautiful gardens that they had. The whole River Oaks building was designed for memory care. I'm impressed with the way that the whole place was designed for people with memory care. The facility is absolutely beautiful, it was completely new.
I've been in nursing homes where everybody just sits in the hall with their head down and they weren't doing that. They were outside, they were all over the building doing whatever they wanted to do, and they were doing crafts when I was there. Sandra The whole River Oaks building was designed for memory care.
